CiA® 455: CANopen application profile for drilling machines
This application profile specifies the CANopen communication and application parameters for control applications in drilling machines, especially for positioning and tool control. The application profile introduces the virtual control architecture for drilling machineries, integrating the drilling control, feeder control, mast control, tool control, winch control, position control, sensor control, and material control. The application profile describes operating principles of drilling machines and also recommends suitable connectors. Additionally, this specification provides a positioning system for construction machineries, independent of the type of the mast used in a construction machine.
