Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems
Homes and offices use CAN to network climate control functions. Some public buildings, e.g. schools and railway stations use CAN to control heat and cold, and air ventilation, too. Public transportation vehicles may also use CAN networks for these purposes, e.g. trains. CAN connects generic devices such as I/O modules, controllers and sensors in climate control sub-systems.
