CiA 412: CANopen device profiles for medical devices
CiA 412 provides a set of device profile specifications for medical devices, e.g. for computer tomographs. Part 2 specifies finite state automata (FSA) and the parameters of the X-ray collimators. This device profile supports several functions for limiting the X-ray beam such as e.g. rectangular or circular collimation. Furthermore the specification offers the possibility to support the use of filters for influencing spectral characteristics of the X-ray beam. The visual simulation of the X-ray beam is functionality incorporated in this device profile, too. The device profile specifies one TPDO (transmit process data object) , which provides the collimator state and the actual x/y-position. The specified RPDO (receive process dta object) contains the collimator command and the target x/y-position. It is sent by the medical device controller.
Part 6 specifies the finite state automaton (FSA) and the parameters of X-ray dose measurement systems. This device profile supports the measurements of the X-ray dose, the dose area product, the entrance/skin dose and the corresponding dose rates in an X-ray system. The pre-defined RPDO contains the control-word. The two TPDOs specified provide the status-word respectively the current process value.
