The SMCI47-S is a stepper motor driver and controller up to 48 V/12 A with CANopen interface. The stepper motor can either be driven in open loop microstep, or in closed-loop, field oriented control with an encoder. This makes the stepper motor with encoder similar to a servo motor, eliminating resonances, and preventing step loss.
The SMCI47-S also has wide-range (5 V to 24 V) general purpose digital inputs and outputs, as well as an output for an optional motor brake.
