Grossenbacher Systeme starts the openAutomation concept with the EthernetPanel devices. They are based on a 266 MHz-x86-CPU with WindowsCE and Ethernet-on-board.

In the basic configuration the device can be used as „HMI“ or as a user programmable „HMI-Open“ with Ethernet and USB on-board. The fieldbus interfaces CANopen, ProfibusDP-Master/Slave or MPI are available optionally.

With CoDeSys IEC-61131 Soft-PLC the device can be used as "HMI-Control" with visualisation, integrated Soft-PLC and optionally local I/Os. With the CoDeSys motion-control solution Soft-Motion the Soft-PLC can be used as a motion-controller which is able to control drives from different manufacturers within the PLC program.

An exchangeable Compact-Flash™ is used as mass storage device. Without moving parts the devices are “at home” in rugged environment!

For fast, intuitive and fatigue free operation two approved touch-screen technologies are available: the service free infrared touch-screen with scratch free safety glass or the seamless resistive touch-screen.
