16FX is Fujitsu's latest 16-bit CAN micro-controller family. While the CPU instruction set is compatible to the established LX MCU family, performance, power consumptions and many features are significantly enhanced. The implemented five-stage pipeline leads to a one-cycle execution time for most instructions and assure high performance. Very good power efficiency is achieved by a reduced internal core voltage of 1,8 V and the sophisticated clock tree.

The 16FX platform is highly scaleable in terms of package size (48 pins to 144 pins), memory (288 kiB to 576 kiB Flash, 12 kiB to 32 kiB RAM) and features (e.g. up to three channels CAN, two to five channels LIN-USART, etc.)

The devices are designed to target both industrial and automotive applications.
