FED-CEC – integrated controller 

Total function integration and concentrated power: The FED-CEC  is a space-saving controller concept, created by integrating a processor module based on the Codesys software platform into the Front end display series 50 to 5000.

Product benefits

  • Flexible and space-optimised system. The display unit and controller are combined in a single unit, which means that system designers have only one component to deal with.
  • Its integrated CANopen master interface means that the FED-CEC can easily be used to control Festo valve terminals and electric drives. The optional Fedium I/O module offers integrated digital and analog channels.
  • Simple planning and programming using Codesys provided by Festo and the FED designer
  • Embedded human/machine dialog: Using FED, parameters can be input directly into the machine controller, for example when positioning setpoints for handling systems.
