Interfaces for PCI, PCIe, USB, PC Card, PC/104, PMC, ISA, Ethernet/Modem and Bluetooth

Ixxat provides versatile CAN interfaces for the PC, which can be used either with Ixxat tools, like the canAnalyser or the CANopen ConfigurationStudio, as well as with customer specific applications.

The interfaces are available as passive versions or as intelligent versions with 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit microcontroller systems on board, and can be equipped with one or two CAN controllers (Philips SJA1000) and with an optional galvanic isolated interface.

The included powerful CAN driver VCI (Virtual CAN Interface) allows the programming of applications
(Windows 9x/NT/Me/2000/XP) independent of the used hardware. An universal application interface makes the changing of the interface possible without any adaptation of the user application.

In addition to the free VCI, Ixxat also supports the intelligent interfaces with a CANopen Master API for Windows. The CANopen Master API allows to develop a PC-based CANopen Master application, providing all Master functionality as well as SDO and PDO transfer.

 

Combined with the iPC-I XC16/PCI CAN interface card, the CANopen Manager API represents an ideal basis for the implementation of complex PC-based CANopen control solutions. The package is equally suited for integration with IEC 61131-3 runtime environments based on Microsoft Windows PC-platforms.
