Powered by a powerful 32-bit MCU, the USB-CANmodul series features up to 16 independently utilizable CAN channels. The software driver is available for Windows as well as Linux and supports up to 64 CAN channels simultaneously. Now, with our USB-CANmodul you get the new CANopen API for .NET. That's a wrapper around the SYS TEC CANopen stack which is built on the Microsoft .NET framework. The CANopen API for .NET provides a seamless access to a CANopen network for your .NET application.

Enhanced driver support …

On the software side, the USB -CANmodul driver now features so-called "Virtual Networks", which allow connecting multiple applications to one single CAN channel simultaneously. Thereby, the CAN messages are distributed to all software applications and devices connected to the same virtual network. Of course, the new CAN driver is fully downwards compatible to previous versions. A further extension of the driver allows running up to 64 CAN interfaces simultaneously on the same PC. This makes possible to connect to different physical networks, yet having all data access centralized in one software application.
