CANopen safety chip (CSC01) starter kit

Availability
In stock
The CSC01 starter kit is comprised of one sensor board and one actuator board, both equipped with the CSC01 16-bit microcontroller. The kit also includes one USB/CAN module, cables, termination resistors, and documentation (CD-ROM).

The CSC01 starter kit comes with demo versions of several software tools (CANopen Device Monitor, M16C flasher, etc.) as well as the Tasking project for sensor and actuator applications. The user may generate CAN messages to be transmitted and received by the kit’s CAN layer-2 monitor.

The CSC01 starter kit is designed to be used for evaluation purposes while developing safety application example programs. With the Flash programming tool that comes with the kit, users are able to write and delete data sector-wise. The CSC01 starter kit and the tools’ full versions are available from CAN in Automation (CiA).

Consulting services
CAN in Automation (CiA) provides consulting for customers and developers on the use of the CSC01 in safety-relevant devices and networks. Their engineers are available for advice on how to use the CSC01 in dedicated safety-relevant systems. This service does not include software or hardware development services, or any programming.

Training services
CAN in Automation (CiA) offers hands-on training with the CSC starter kit. The seminars may include education on CANopen protocols in general with an emphasis on CANopen Safety protocols in particular. The seminars are organized as open event or as in-house training on request. Documentation provided includes seminar material, as well as the CSC starter kit manuals and CANopen safety specification.
